How to use movement, physical activity and sport for intergenerational activities?

Generations Uniting through Movement training for physical activity/sport trainers and social care workers

Who is behind GUM?

The project is supported by the EU Erasmus+ programme and the partners are ISCA (lead coordinator), Youth Sport Trust International (UK), Sports Union of Slovenia, BG Be Active (Bulgaria), Deporte Para La Educacion Y La Salud (Spain), Hanze University of Applied Sciences (the Netherlands) and Azur Sport Sante (France). They are supported by two Associate partners from Brazil and Hong-Kong.

Why should you take this training?

The main aim of this training tool is to provide an actionable learning experience on why and how to set up AND run a grassroots intergenerational physical activity programme.

What will you learn?

By the end of the GUM online training, you will be able to:

  • Illustrate the goals, principles and components of an intergenerational movement and physical activity programme
  • Design and deliver a successful GUM programme
  • Apply and develop digital literacy as a support to your GUM offer (using the GUM app)
